if root owns a binary and i (as root)
#chmod u+s binary
and run the binary as mruser, shoul top and ps show it as being run by root?
coz it doesnt...and i am not sure...did i suid it correctly?

guys, have you had any experience in installing soffice52 from SUN on a
multiuser sysi installed it as root...but the normal users cant seem to
start the program...says it cant find the sofficerc file...it is there and
readable though i checked...any help would be appreciated.

i use tcpdump with the option -s 1024 thing is, is there a way i can make it
parse for not only the hex representation of data packets but also the ascii
counterpart? now i just dump the packets to a file and vi it to see the
ascii, thanks for any help
