Re: How to eliminate Bookmarks from the Firefox menu?

Why does my system create hundreds of .mapped files?

2010-06-11 Thread joe
What is the purpose of all the hundreds of .mappedfiles that are cluttering up my system? Can they somehow be globally deleted? How can I stop them from being generated? Or do they serve some crucially important function? --- PLUG-discuss

OT: Net Nuetrality and the World Cup

2010-06-11 Thread Nathan England
I have largely stayed out of the net neutrality debate as I don't really understand both sides. I do not have access to cable tv of any kind, but I have Cox for my internet access. When the Olympics were on I could not watch them online because I do not have a windows PC, so NBC was off limits.

Neither. This is not addressed by net neutrality. ESPN has the rite to make private deals all they want. Net neutrality says that if NBC and ESPN both offer you the ability to watch world cup and ESPN has the better coverage for you but NBC gives cox a kick back then Cox can not block or degrade

I presume you're trying to setup your Juno connection. In Ubuntu 9.10 you should be able to open networking and just follow the prompts. Here's a (slightly dated) webpage that should walk you through the process. http://www.ubuntugeek.com/setting-up-dial-up-connection-in-ubuntu.html
