I will be careful: I have daily backups of the trackstat data and my
iTunes synchronisation means that my iTunes library effectively is
another backup.

Hi,
i installed slimserver latest slimserver 7 and tried to use
slimscrobbler (1.04). Scrobbling don't work, the error log says:

Following track is ready to submit:

I've just posted a new version of iTunesUpdate for SqueezeCenter 7.0 at
http://www.jamescraig.co.uk/SlimServer
In this version I have enhanced the artwork feature to load artwork
from iTunes as tracks are added to the playlist, not just when they're
played.
I've also forced the strings file to

In 6.5 the custom-convert.conf and custom-types.conf file were

Putting the Alien conf directory defeats that objective. So either

Well it seems my problems were down to one particular build of
Squeezecenter - after upgrading Last.FM is being recognised properly
and i can access the config pages and it's in the internet radio menu
of my SB3.
However, it wont actually play/connect to the stream and i just get a

New version 1.0.5 uploaded to

* fixes the problems with tag submission on accented characters,
* stops failed submissions from blocking the queue.

Hi All,
I think I'm suffering this issue, too. I posted earlier in the Linux
forum, but just realised this forum is more appropriate.
I'm running Ubuntu 6.06, and I don't see any rtsp file types in Server
Settings. System looks like this:
SlimServer Version: 6.5.4 - 12568 - Debian - EN - utf8
Excellent, thanks Felix

The problem is that /etc/slimserver is hard wired as the source for the
extra conf files.
I finally decided to move everything from /etc/slimserver into
/usr/share/slimserver and symlink /etc/slimserver to
/usr/share/slimserver.
But the extra conf files from alien still need to be in

I tried this, but still no joy,
At the moment Ican play a Radio 4 Listen Again program fine of
SoftSqueeze.
But when I try on my SB, it goes through the motions and then says
Connection timed out.
I currently have a problem with very low signal strength. I know the
cause, but not the solution, but anyway that has nothing to

I found the same happening with me.
Anyway...do you have MIP running as a windows service?
If so, uninstall it from Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services.
Then use the MIP GUI and it should start the API automatically.
Once the port is opened, start SC.
Well,
Get yourself a signal booster it does help. You need at least 70%
signal.

I tried to start a LastFM station from the playerUI, and nothing happened.
From the log, I see lots of the following error:

On SoftSqueeze's website you can only find version 2.0???
I was wondering the same thing. Where is one supposed to download the
latest version of 3.x? Also, are nightly builds available for
download?
Thanks,
