The CMD Window is STARTRUNCMD
When I get the command window open I type in:
wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0
Did you miss step 2 ? Did you type in following command to change
directory before trying the wavin2cmd.exe command ?
cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
So last night, about 8pm, the main temperature on the unit said -2
degrees...
Now, pressing the cursor up and down to move thru the current forecast
and into the next day, the small display of the 'low' temperature never
went below 3 (positive) degrees...
Confused!?

Running SqueezeCenter 7 19/11/2007 on Windows Server 2003.
AlienBBC Beta 2.0 for 7 installed
Clicking on any AlienBBC radio station brings up 401 unauthorized.
Any ideas?

Selecting any of the channel options in the Mplayer test plays the
stream.
I've noted I get 401 when trying to select any of the RSS feeds in info
browser as well so might not be AlienBBC related.
Had no such problems in 6.5.4 (except AlienBBC locking up on 'checking
stream'. not
Could be a DNS issue although 401 is not the usual error message.
Look at a log (Sserver Settings/Advanced/Logging) with player.source,
network.asyncdns and plugins.alienbc set to Info (don't forget to save
setting after changing the level) and see if there are any interesting
messages when you

Installer had complained could noty access internet. entered my DSL
modem IP address (192.168.1.1) and got around problem.
Logging at that log indicated slimserver was attempting to connect to
that IP. I removed it from my network settings and hey presto -
AlienBBC at last works!

If you have changed directory using CD before trying the Wavin2cmd and
you still get
OK it looks like audio capture part is working.
Are you playing the output to a squeezebox or to the stream.mp3 output
?
Looking at the code, without mods the plugin only allows the captured
stream to be sent to Squeezeboxes and not stream.mp3.

Just installed the XM radio plugin - shows up in the Internet Radio
list, but when I select it, it freezes. I can't click the 'login' link
to add my details. I'm using version 1.1.1, which i believe should work
with slimserver 6.5.

At a guess you can edit the file WAVIN.pm in Plugins/WaveInput
directory with Wordpad (not Notepad) and comment
