That should be fine. It was what I expected you had downloaded and
installed, but I felt it was best to start at the beginning.
I can't see why this does not work.
You could try the old procedure, of finding the Unix program and
copying it to one of the folders where it can live. Search the

Well, after a reboot, it's OK.
To close and re-open the SlimCenter does not seem to be enough ?

hello,
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong with MIS !
I have SC 7.0.1 installed and I try to install the plugin MusicInfoSCR

Before the crash of my PC :-( I had no problem with SC 7.0.1 and MIS

I unzipped the MusicInfoSCR files into C:\Program
No, a reboot is not necessary, but you do need to restart SC. Just
closing and opening the browser isn't enough. You need to go into the
services panel and restart SC.

When browsing by artists and the list of albums is shown, there is an
'all songs' entry at the top.
Is it possible with Custom Browse to get this to show songs in
alphabetical order rather than by the year of the album and track
position?

Hi,
I`m running Squeezecenter 7.0.1 on debian with MusicIP.
I now see an 'M' icon in SqueezeCenter and can genereate a playlist,
but I do not see this on the Squeezebox. Pressing play lets me save my
playlist while it schould (as I read here) generate a playlist based on
the song i`m listening
If I recall correctly, you need to press and hold play on the track or
album in the Music Library. It does not work from the Now Playing menu.

That didn't work. If I do that, the album/track will simply begin to
play.

Make sure that the pressing and holding of the play key does not

Glad you found the issue.
Yes, there used to be mplayer_intel and mplayer_ppc, as well as
mplayer_noaltivec. I think that may have been with the rc1 of the
program you downloaded, and this changed with rc2.
I guess AlienBBC needs to be updated to deal with this, but now you
have solved it,
Turns out it's not fixed! Bizarrely, it worked for a couple of minutes,
but then stopped. You can still see all the stations, and when you
click one it tries to connect repeatedly but never actually does. On
checking the console log file, I get repeated instances of this log and
response:
PS - if I type mplayer in a terminal it says mplayer not found, so I
guess it's not actually in my $PATH. There have been previous posts
that refer to mplayer being in /usr/local/bin. I don't actually have
that directory - only /usr/local/lib, which is where the codecs I

You need to look at the tracks in Album, Artist, Genre view or similar.
MIP does not work on Browse Music Folder view - could that be the issue?

There was a problem with some builds of OSX MPlayer. Can you run

I think you are getting some network problems from BBC and streams are

The mplayer.sh has the fullpath to mplayer so there should be no need

Tried using the subversion and rc2 source downloads (copied into

In terms of prebuilt mplayer - you could try the Triode mplayer which
can be found here.

Triode's mplayer was built to overcome the kite problem.
