The latest beta version of 7.3 includes functionality to simplify the installation of plugins for SqueezeCenter and applets/wallpapers/sounds on jive. I'm posting here to make 7.3 users aware and hopefully try it out and also to encourage plugin authors to publish their plugins in the repository

Gave it a quick try with the AutoDim plugin and it seems very painless. I have SC7.3 on a Windows Home Server, so at the moment download the a new plugin zip file to my WindowsXP desktop, unzip and then copy across to a shared folder on the WHS. Then sign-on to the WHS, delete the old folder and

Make sure you have it installed in the directory listed on the Plugin download page. The location for 3rd party plugins is now different than the ones included with SqueezeCenter and you'll get all sorts of odd behavior if you put it in the wrong location. You may have to create the directory

Looks like no output from mplayer or mplayer is not running - unfortunately your conf file has 2/dev/null so all error messages are thrown away. Test mplayer on a command line with playing BBC stations with output to a file as Linkstation has no audio h/w. Reply output file on a PC to test

I'm having the same problem in Mac OS 10.5.5. The app will launch but there are no windows. SqueezeCenter sees the player and I can play songs through it. Very odd. I've tried deleting the Java cache in ~/Library/Caches/Java as well as the preferences file org.titmuss.softsqueeze.plist

When the java app launches there is a prompt to accept the code signing certificate. The app's window looks different between the two computers I've tried this with. Again, both have 10.5.5. I have attached screenshots of the 2 different windows.
