You do need to be careful as to how you unzip the plugin before you install it. Folks occasionally complain that windows built-in zip utility will mess up paths when unzipping files. If you aren't using Winzip to unzip the file, that's where I'd start first. Then, make sure you are installing

Finally!!! Why this is not a standard part of SC is beyond me. Seriously, Logitech owes gharris999 some 's as this plugin addresses HUGE, game-breaking performance issues. No longer will I have to hear, and agree with, the fact that this system is ridiculous because it turns off mid-song.

The usual source of this sort of problem is a change in the system. All the code uses wavin as the type so I think you are wrong about wavein:0. Check custom-types.conf just in case something has changed the file. What has changed ? OS upgrade ? Security upgrade ? SC upgrade ? Add new h/w ?
