Did you use Extensio0n Downloader to install AlienBBC ?
IS it version 2.5 of AlienBBC ?
The log message indicates that SC has started the stream and it looks
like AlienBBC thinks it is playing. SO I think the problem is in
mplayer or mplayer.sh and/or permissions.

mplayer is installed, via
apt-get install mplayer-nogui
and this has been working fine for months. Mind you, so has AlienBBC
:-) I haven't tried Alien since upgrading to SC 7.3. The log file
*looks* okay to me, but I'm hoping you'll spot whatever it is I'm
missing...

ok, I've attached a new server.log. This is from the point of restarting
the server right up to around 50-60 seconds after requesting the track.
I've changed the timeout to 20 seconds, and I can watch the green
progress bar advance for around 5 seconds (fishbone), then it suddenly

I've just done an entirely clean install of todays 7.4 Windows nightly
(7.4 - r27498) and can't get Extention downloader to work correctly.
I've set Update plugins automatically Show all 3rd party plugins
to on and selected the third party plugins I want (iPlayer etc) and
deselected those
Is there anything in the log?
What's the output of --debug server.plugins when it starts?

Have now updated to 7.4 - r27509 and still none of the selected third
party plugins will install although some of the deselected ones appear
to have uninstalled.

I've taken those out. Now all that won't install seems to be the Line
Out Boom plugin, and some of BPA's InfoBrowser plugins.

Unfortunately yes, I do have those lines. I've not done a binary compare
but the existing file and the link you gave do look to be identical.

Just downloaded and installed the latest version on Windows 7 RC 64bit.
Install has gone fine and seems to be working just great. One thing I
noticed is changing the SC host I inadvertently used an old hostname
which caused an error exception.

I've tested on a Ubuntu 9.04 systems with latest SC 7.3.4 and AlienBBC
2.5-7.3. It all worked OK.
The only idea I have is that perhaps there are left over files from 7.2
as plugins will have changed directories.
