To any TrackStat user who is using the 7.6.1 beta version, please make
sure to keep an old TrackStat backup file if you want to be 100% sure
your statistics will be kept in the official 7.6.1 release.
There is currently a bug in the beta which mess up the statistics
handled by SBS and I'm not

It's supposed to only do the synchronization/refresh operation and that
seems to take about 4 minutes in your system according to these logs.
I understand 4 minutes is still too much at startup but if it really
does a 2 hour rescan
I may have resolved this.
By setting the 2 'refresh' options to Yes in the Custom Scan settings,
I have a busy PC when it reboots/restarts, but the menus are much
quicker the rest of the time.

Hi erland,
thanks for the explanation, it helps clarify things a bit for me. So my
log was for a refresh then (hence why it was so quick - I renamed the
artist for one album). What I don't understand is why Settings:Plug

Hi there,
I am still having problems scanning the database. I have downloaded and

Is this the case ?
Thanks for the information. I understand a bit better now.
I have 'Warn' on the customscan log.

I tried setting it to 'Info'. I saved it, moved to another page, went

I stopped and restarted SBS. No Custom Scan messages, and the logging

Very much agree on this topic and hope for a file-opener plugin to SBS,
that lists and offers to open available PDF and image files (TIF, PNG,
JPG) in music folder, and subfolders (covers and liner notes are often
stored in sub-folder).
Needed functionality would be open, zoom, rotate as well as
Hello!
I just did a reinstallation of my OS. I backed up the /home and /etc
directories, but forgot about /var/lib/squeezeboxserver, so all my play
stats are gone. Embarassingly, I've done this before, so what I lost
this time was only a year's worth of stats. However, since 2005 I've

In 'Advanced Log Settings' just above all the drop-down lists there is
a check box entitled 'Save logging settings for use at next application

I think this saves your setting permanently.
