I thought that the problem that was being discussed was excessive CPU
usage. That is why I wanted to know more.

Ah - if it is all related to entries in the queue after the currently
playing item then it is something that I know about.
The plugin code never expected to be called by LMS for things not
currently playing so it tramples over stuff.
I need to find a way to ignore those other calls.

There has been some recent discussion in the Material Skin thread about
some issues that seem to be related to RNP. In brief, the issue is that
when some stations are in the current play queue, either waiting to be
played or previously played, but not currently playing, LMS displays
incorrect

I have created a new beta v4.4.2 version of the plugin that should
correctly support Marantz AVR's, including the Quick/Smart Select
function. The support is

I'll test some more and report over in RNP thread, but to be clear, I do
not get any audio

Sounds odd - but perhaps is somehow RNP is causing that.
Broadly ... RNP polls the remote site

I have seen the same behavior in the default skin. In my experience, the
Radio Swiss stations in the RNP plugin are very likely to cause playlist
corruption and timing issues.
I've set the Qobuz preferred format to 24-bit Hi-Res in the plug-in, but
LMS won't playback at anything above 48K. This is true whether using a
Squeezebox player, or my Arcam CDS50 connected via the UPnP bridge.
My Qobuz subscription allows Hi-Res playback and download. Playback will
work at

But, what I don't understand is why "waitingToPlay" is set to "1" for so
I believe his system simply is slow on those queries, and Materials
polling exposes the issue. Why it is so slow, I dont understand yet.

That user has reported on the LMS repo too. Some confusing statements.
But its my understanding that the issue is not Qobuz, but tracks in the
database vs. online only tracks. His LMS is spending a lot of time in
the status querys database code, looking up contributors, album info
etc. which

A user has raised an 'issue'
(https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-material/issues/579) stating that
LMS's CPU load is much higher (spikes at staer) when playing a Qobuz
track that has been integrated with LMS's library. The user thinks this
is becasue of Material skin, CPU load is better when this
