list, it uses it exactly as its supplied by the server.

Ah, I can see now what the problem is: they are not part of a normal
menu but a context menu and iPeng always shows context menus as
same-size cells no matter the context.

Unfortunately not.
There is no formatting information being supplied by the podcast plugin
so this could be a normal menu item like an artist name etc.
There is a way in the menu definition protocol to specify that something
is extended text and iPeng would the show it that way (e.g. happens
Eigene Musik in most setups is a placeholder.
iPeng flattens out the main menu by moving albums/artists etc. to the
main menu level, particularly because then you can move them to the tab
bar (and because its faster to scroll than to navigate sub menus).
But some people want to hide some menu
Ah, but its not Radios thats left off the tab bar, its Eigene Musik
and thats missing because its empty. iPeng doesnt show empty menus,
that would be useless.

No, its not configurable and also not related to playback.
Its related to a whole range of control functions all of which would
have to be completely removed because enabling the options for the app
as a whole (the binary, at build time) makes the app an audio app that
cant run concurrently

The conversion is necessary because Spotifys Ogg Vorbis streams are
encrypted and can be read by nothing except Spotifys run-time library,
