And within Mplayer: Contents/MacOS/Mplayer OSX
I'm sure any alteration i made was to the link to Mplayer, but, as I

If you are running wifi, try testing reception closer to your router. I
used to suffer from stuttering too (you know what I mean!), but
boosting the wifi signal strength did the trick.

I start the playlist by browsing to:

When the DP track list us open this behaviour doesn't happen. It only
happens when the album art page of the current track is open.

they are installed - something may well be at the root of the problem,
but the plugins are certainly the 'trigger'.
I really have gone through a painstaking process of making sure
scanning works OK before installing the plugins.

Currently when I click on World Service I get two 'dead' links at the
very top of the stream list:
World Service Radio
24 hour live news (dead link, but there is another 24 hour live news
link underneath, which does work.)
Is there any way to edit the plugin to remove these links?

Ok - I found the A-Z listing, but it is buried deep in the menu - I
wonder if there is a way to add this to the 'top' layer of the alienbbc
menu, which would reduce the number of clicks and scrolls to reach it.

Yes, setting sleep to activate at a certain time every day would be very
