Just an update, I found a radioSHARK2 on ebay and I just got it working on Windows Home Server 1. This is not a custom built WHS box like the one of the previous posters but an Acer easySTORE, so I did not have the option of hooking up a KVM, but it worked! Thanks for all your help bpa.

I'm not familiar with WHS so I don't know the difference between the two install methods tried and why the KVM method is needed. It is good to know that USB audio devices work on WHS. So it seems the advice I found that audio support has been stripped from WHS is wrong. -- bpa

I found a long USB extension lead to get RS2 away from PC is useful for reception as PC are often hidden away. To use external antenna all you need is a cable inserted into headphone socket of RS2. I tested the external using a standard audio cable ( I think with 2.5mm plug) and with one end

The plugin does not require any version of .NET. Since WHS has all audio support removed - that is probably what is causing the exception problem. I think you should google to see if anybody has hacked in audio support. Audio support is not .NET support. -- bpa

Thanks for chiming in. I really do want this to work! I cannot install .NET 1.1, WHS says it's akready installed and kicks out of the installation. However, control panel reports .NET 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1, only; no 1.1. Quick Google searches indicate .NET 1.1 is incompatible with WHS.

I do not know what hardware changes between RS and RS2 but there is a s/w change and the support EXEs used by the application only work with an RS2. The s/w difference is small so although it should not be hard to build a versions of the EXEs for an RS but I cannot test it and if there is an

The chmod solution you have used is not a good one and can be considered a security risk as those apps can do a lot of general actions and are used by other apps. You have enabled these apps to bypass security and can do destructive actions without restriction. It would have been better to
