I'm guessing this Background Submit Status: 2 Is the problem, but I have no idea what it actually means (I'll have to check where this is used). It working after a server restart makes sense, as that would reset any internal status counters. James

Could you post a bit of the log file where the song count goes up but there is no submission? Each time submission fails, the interval doubles. So if LastFM is down for a while, e.g. the whole weekend, it can be a long time until the next submission. James

Nothing has scrobbled in over a week now, and I can't seem to figure it out. The only thing I can think of that I changed is I blocked incoming connections (except for ip's inside my network) - but that shouldn't block the scrobbling, should it? Here's a bit of log - but I don't see anything

Well, the restart automagically fixed it - I hate that! I think I had some odd behaviour with SqueezeNetwork about the time the scrobbing quit - maybe something crashed then. I'll see if I can track it down. -- nicketynick Wireless SB3, Denon DRA-F101, Mission M31 loudspeakers WinXP SP2

Hi James, But that was such a long time ago. I couldn't find any other similar reports in the log farther down - it just kept adding to the pending file, without ever seeming to try to connect. And isn't strange that somehow exactly 50 songs from after initial failure to connect got through
