Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Updated NowPlaying plugin
Hi Max, I run the lastest 6.5.2 via SVN interpreted via ActivePerl. I installed the Now Playing plugin when it was released. Recently, whilst I have been investigating a SlimServer problem, I have been moving all 3rd party plugins out of my installation folder to see if any were causing my problem. I noticed that I had an SVN icon in the NowPlaying folder, so I didn't move this plugin, thinking it was an official plugin. The reason is that your NowPlaying zip download contains a .svn folder. I don't think you should be distributing that. Phil ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Last.fm plugin: Multiple problems on Firefox2 (and IE7)
Hello, I am becoming a heavy user of the great Last.fm service and really appreciate the Last.fm and SlimScrobbler plugins. Almost as must as the Squeezebox they've revolutionised my listening habits... so thank you very much developers. I am in your debt. However, I've been having some problems that I thought I should report. These problems may be mainlydue to a couple things though, latest browsers and the fact that I am bit of a Last.fm power user. I have subscribed (paid) to Last.fm recently and so have spent some time this weekend setting usome radio stations (about 35). I an on XP Pro and was using 6.5.1. I have now upgraded to 6.5.2 nightly to see if things improved but it's made no difference. I normally use Firefox 2 (2.0.2 since last night I think) and the Fishbone Tan skin. However, I've now started to use the default skin in an attempt to get variables out of the way 9also with no joy). I've even tried with I.E 7. I only used I.E for short while as the Last.fm plugin does not seem to display correctly in it... e.g. the titles are missing for the Change Radio Station text entry boxes for instance (and I think the text entry boixes may be displaying in the wrong order too.. at least entering a band into the top field seems to enter it as a user radio station). Firefox 2 (and possibly/probably universal). 1) When I try to enter a band name into the Similar Artist text field locating the cursor into the field causes the frame to reload making it impossible to write anything. 2)I am a (paid) Last.fm subscriber and I want to play (and save) a personal radio station, so I enter: user/MixmasterMorris/personal or even listen/user/MixmasterMorris/personal (taken from the Last.fm player link) but it is as if I am not a (paid) subscriber and the pluging sets up, Loved, Recommended and Neighbours stations for the user, but not the Personal station. Is this what is supposed to happen or am I missing something? 3) There seems to be some oddity happening with Groups with spaces in their titles. I've got some groups with percent20 instead of the space or a plus sign instead of the space.. and others just have a space. 4) Is there any way to stop the plugin setting up stations automatically? I'd like to keep control od the stations I list in the web interface and player. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sorting out last.fm tags
I'm using last.fm more now, especially now I can scrobble my (Rockbox) iPod, so I want it to work a bit better... I have my artist tags exactly how I want them: surname, firstname. Some of my stuff has multiple artists. I don't want anything to change about how SlimServer works. The problem is that last.fm frequently tells me that my tags are broken. It doesn't like surname, firstname. Is there a way of specifying a tag that is submitted to last.fm? I can quite happily (ish) go through my tags and add stuff if necessary, but it's important that nothing breaks. I thought about using ARTISTSORT, but apparently the behaviour on multiple tags there is unpredictable (per the wiki). Any luck there? Any help appreciated. Help on scrobbling my CD and FM listening would be nice, but let's go a step at a time :) Adam -- adamslim SB3 into Derek Shek d2, Shanling CDT-100, Rotel RT-990BX, Esoteric Audio Research 859, Living Voice Auditorium IIs, Nordost and Anti-cables http://www.last.fm/user/AdamSlim/ adamslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7355 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33288 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sorting out last.fm tags
There's no way of changing the tags that SlimScrobbler uses to generate submissions. (It seems like quite a good idea for the future though). However you can set MusicBrainz tags on your tracks. If they exist they will be submitted to LastFM and will override all other tags, so the tracks should be recorded correctly. Ok - this is now turning into a cool plugin! Kudos to Michael for the International version... I've made one slight amendment to handle the concept of 'Override Values'. This covers values such as Midnight or Midday (in fact they were the only ones I could think of for English). They can be declared based on the number of hours and minutes, so it should be possible to make some very specific overrides if necessary. I've added German and Dutch translations for 'Midday' and 'Midnight' as well, but these are from Babelfish so could be garbage! - perhaps someone with the necessary Language skills could comment? +---+ |Filename: DateTimeTxt-International.zip| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2503| +---+ -- Browny http://www.last.fm/user/BrownySV/ Browny's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32975 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

The interface works fine for me in Firefox 2 - that's what I use all the time. I just tried using the similar artists box while playing and I can select, enter text and submit fine. Obviously some times it will happen to refresh while you're trying to use it, but that's unavoidable if you want automatic refreshes! However, LastFM have disabled the search for multiple artist radio on the request of an (unnamed) record company so it doesn't work as expected any more - what you get back now is the first person listed as being online!
