This is a good question...to which I do not have the answer, but I'd
like to know too. How about installing those applets one-at-a-time and
testing? It would be nice to know which one is the culprit!
That a good idea!
Meanwhile I've made some further tests.

Great news, thanks a bunch (in advance)! I'll start going through the

Thanks you for your help.. I really wanted to get rid of it completely,
maybe I'll try a re-install and uninstall. But not a problem I guess if
I just delete the desktop shortcut and leave as is. Cheers :0)

To get rid of it properly, you need to say how you installed it as it
can be installed either standalone or via SBS web ui.

Yes I am having the same issue with 7.5.
Some tracks for an album are not appearing in the database/tracklist.
I have checked the scanner log for one of the albums with tracks
missing and all tracks appear in the scanner log without errors.
Dunno if this is specific to slimnas/ freenas /
How do I go about getting this to work on a QNAP 219P. I have installed
SUDO via Itsy package manager, but I have no idea what I'm meant to put
in the SUDOERS file. I've also no idea how to go about installing
PM-Utils on the QNAP because it doesn't seem to be installable via
Itsy.

Thanks for that tip about 'prefer wma'. I had the same issue and was
baffled as iPlayer had always worked before.

This sounds like the authorisation routine is not calculating the key
correctly.
If the NAS has an ARM processor then it is probably the vendor's
version of Linux is causing the problem as something similar happened
with the iPlayer plugin.
What processor is in the TS-119 ?

I used to be able to access a java applet of slimplayer via a web
browser by pointing to:
http://localhost:9000/html/softsqueeze/applet.html
However, with the newer Squeezebox, that link doesnt work. I just get
a blank screen. I already enabled the Slimplayer 3.9b2 plugin... and,
it shows up
This is the URL which launches the applet code although I think the
applet.html needs modifying to work with change Softsqueeze.jar

What is this applet supposed to do ? I see no reference to it so I
assumed it was a remnant.

Hi BPA, thanks for the quick reply back. The applet allows you to have
a softsqueeze client embedded in the web browser. This is the only way
I know to get a Squeezebox client from my Android based mobile phone.
I'm actually very surprised I couldnt find a single Squeezebox client
for the
Why don't you let SBS WebUI install Softsqueeze for you ?
Doesn't Android have a special version of Java and not standard ?

Hi BPA, you might have missed that I already did that. I didnt get any
errors when installing. I'm not sure which version of java is on
Android, but it's the only hope I have right now that it might work.

PS:
I just copied the files from the Softsqueeze 3.9b2 zip file to the
below folder:
C:\Program Files\Squeezebox\server\HTML\EN\html\softsqueeze
Now, the client loads up, but cant see the local server:

What does Java console show ?
Have you tried running Softsqueeze.jar from a shell prompt ? It's the
best way to see startup error.

Great... I just saw an update was available and am setting it up now.
Thank you for looking into that... I am actually in the process of
cleaning up some of my music and menus, and this will be fantastic.
