If Bush and his neocon handlers really believed that bin Laden was behind 9/11, wouldn't they have moved heaven and earth, pulled out every stop, to capture or kill him immediately after September 2001? They are starting a big push for bin Laden years after the event? They can't keep their cover stories straight. The single consistency about the 9/11 official story is that absolutely nothing about the official story hangs together with any other part of the story, and especially at the most basic level of common sense. It didn't even occur to Bush and his advisers that this latest statement would further undermine the official story.
