You may know she was in past times the Senior television Correspondent for the BBC in New York (a position she held until 2004). The BBC, dogged by complaints on their 9/11 coverage, is at pains to explain that Standley was, actually, an employee of BBC World all the time she was in New York (and NOT of BBC News here in England). I add this technical detail here since it's best to start as I mean to go on. You may also be aware that the famous Jane Standley was in New York on 9/11/2001 and that the content and circumstances of various 'live' televised broadcasts by her from New York to BBC News in London (whether they were actually televised in the UK/USA or not on that day ?) remains unresolved. You may even know the subject of Standley, BBC accountability and their coverage of 9/11 from New York has been the subject of huge controversy during the earlier part of this year, 2007. Certainly here in the UK. Some of this controversy has generated long articles on forums. You may even be aware of WHY it became a big issue. It was precipitated by supposed internal discovery at the BBC of 'long lost video tape' that purports to include 'live' televised broadcasts of Standley to London's BBC News on that day. 9/11 truthers wanted to know more about WTC 7 and the source of the BBC claim contained within Standley's material that WTC 7 had (supposedly) already collapsed - this allegedly minutes before it actually did so. But such is the state of confusion on this matter and the scale of accountability by the BBC itself (to say nothing of Standley) that at this time of writing we can only marvel at the ongoing act of reputational suicide with the BBC being so dogmatically unaccountable for its televised news ouput. What causes me to write on this subject at such length is that I've today received an email from the BBC's Complaints section (the latest, truth to tell, in a whole series of exchanges). I'm told by an Information person that Mr Richard Porter, Head of BBC World News, has definitely 'nothing more to say on the BBC coverage of 9/11 from New York'. Since I'd originally written to the BBC with a quite different sort of complaint this is a rather silly thing for me to receive. But the BBC, keen to distance itself from 9/11 confusion of its own creation seems oblivious to the fact that it creates still more by its deadpan attitude. We now have a complaints system at the BBC which no longer pretends to deal with the substance of complaints on its news output and which fails to recognise its own accountability. It replies with no answers at all saying simply, 'We have nothing further to add' - these received so often they are good reason for complaint in themselves. Well, my story all started so simply. I wrote to the BBC some months ago with two basic questions on 9/11 and their media coverage that tragic day. One was - /From which studio in New York did Jane Standley make her now notorious televised broadcast on 9/11/2001 (this around 10.00pm London time) in which WTC 7 was said to have already collapsed ? / And the other was - /Can you please tell us a little background information on the biographical past of the above mentioned Jane Standley (there being absolutely nothing of substance available on her anywhere online or in libraries or publications here in the UK describing her life in any detail prior to joining the BBC). Where was she born ? In which country and place did she go to school, etc ? / And I waited. My motivation was simple. I started complaining only gradually. I wanted (and still want) to get some straight answers. I'd seen the broadcasts - this year. The 'window' behind Standley in New York looked fake. And she'd infamously been cut off from 'live' conversation with London in a later report after having earlier in the day announced WTC's 7's collapse, with that structure still standing behind her. We all know the story. The truth is of course that Jane Standley was NOT standing in front of a real window during that infamous broadast. She stood, surely, in front of a ChromaKey screen. She pointed to the 'window' giving viewers a false impression of actually overlooking the site in New York where WTC7 is on the horizon. But it's not a real window. So, where DID she broacast from ? A second mystery soon followed. The BBC World News output on that day was being widely rebroadcast to viewers in the USA. Since she supposedly announced the early collapse of WTC7 'live' it's strange that more than 5 years later no viewer of BBC World in the USA seems to have noted her error on WTC7 - till discovery of the tape in London this year. Enter in to this comic tragedy Aaron Brown. Now, at the time, Aaron Brown was working for another corporate broadcaster, CNN. He (like Jane Standley) is reputed to have announced 'live' from New York on that same tragic day the collapse of WTC7 - this long before its real collapse. And thus fate, destiny, or the hidden hand of the media corporations brings together the unlikely coupling of two very strange and unaccountable people. Neither of them personally accountable for their work on that day. Yet both seemingly unable to see a 47 storey building though they broadcast 'live' on its status. THE BOUNCY LANDSCAPES OF NEW YORK On the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1LetB0z8_o In the above CNN live clip (which lasts for 1 minute 58 seconds and which appears to be today available only from that location) notice the following - 1. At 0 mins 17 seconds notice WTC 7 standing in the right background. Its penthouse (which is long and thin) wobbles like a jelly and recovers around 1 second later. 2. But, more amazingly, notice MANY buildings in this scene, (including, again, the penthouse of WTC7) start to bounce up and down from about 0 minutes 28 seconds until approximately 0 minutes 36 seconds. This 'bouncing' is not even in its visual effect. It affects different areas of the scene before us at quite different speeds relative to each another depending on their location. This, together with highly suspicious grading in colour for the foreground, middle and distance are consistent with a single screen that has been made up of several independently created images in a 'stereo-type' effect. Amongst other things it tends to obscure what we are seeing. The image quality is surprisingly poor. (These amazing ‘bouncing’ buildings are evidence that the whole picture is a faked/composite landscape that has been created using data coming from at least 3 different sources. A clumsy attempted adjustment of this composite picture during its broadcast has caused all 3 images to 'bounce' out of their fixed sequence relative to one another. These composite images ALMOST SUCCEEDED IN CONVINCING US THAT WE ARE WATCHING A NORMAL NEW YORK CITY LANDSCAPE. In fact, the city landscape is very different from normal and the low grade definition is almost certainly deliberate. The scene has been manipulated. 3. Around 1’ 02’’ in the same clip 'a fly' appears to fly from the area of the WTC 7 onto the screen before us. This appears to be a signal to mark the end of the 'internal' phase of the broadcast (rather like the old fashioned ‘end of reel’ marks for old cinema) because, seconds later, the same CNN broadcaster now APPEARS TO BE SPEAKING TO US FROM OUTSIDE HIS STUDIO IN BRILLIANT BLUE SKY WHILE APPARENTLY STILL LOOKING TOWARDS AND SPEAKING OF THE IMMINENT COLLAPSE OF WTC 7. (Traffic noises are added to give this false impression of his 'new' location). NOTE THAT THE 'SUNLIGHT' WHICH CAN ALSO BE SEEN ON THE CNN JOURNALIST’S FACE AND SHOULDERS MUCH EARLIER IN THE SAME CLIP (RATHER LIKE THE 'SUNLIGHT' ON THE FACE OF THE BBC’S OWN NOTORIOUS WTC 7 REPORT BY JANE STANDLEY) REMAINS REMARKABLY SIMILAR IN INTENSITY AND EFFECT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE CLIP AND IS CLEARLY OF ARTIFICIAL, INTERNAL, ORIGIN. BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT THESE TWO INFAMOUS BROADCASTS (BOTH OF WHICH AMAZINGLY STATED THAT THE WTC 7 HAD ALREADY COLLAPSED WELL IN ADVANCE OF ITS ACTUAL COLLAPSE) WERE ALMOST CERTAINLY NOT MADE FROM AFAR BUT FROM THE TOP FLOORS OF THE VERY SAME WTC 7 AND WERE BROADCAST SOME MINUTES BEFORE THAT BUILDING WAS DESTROYED). 4. Parts of the WTC 7 undoubtedly served as the disaster emergency communications centre for the WTC complex in New York (having on its top floors telecommunications equipment etc for security and for receipt of various broadcasts etc) so it is very likely that both CNN and the BBC USED THIS SAME DOOMED BUILDING, WTC 7, FOR THESE TWO BROADCASTS WHICH FALSELY CLAIMED THE BUILDING HAD COLLAPSED - THOUGH BOTH TELEVISED REPORTS APPEAR FALSELY TO BE COMING TO US FROM LOCATIONS FAR AWAY FROM THE WTC 7 . A BUILDING WHICH WAS DESTROYED SHORTLY AFTER. THIS ALSO ACCOUNTS FOR EXACTLY THE SAME 'SUNLIGHT' ANGLES AND INTENSITIES SEEN IN THE SLIGHTLY LATER BBC BROADCAST ON THE SAME SUBJECT. FOR THE TRUE LOCATION FROM WHICH BOTH REPORTS WERE MADE WAS THE VERY SAME. 5. Notice that a very brief but bright flash of light occurs AFTER the CNN journalist says - ‘HOW LONG THIS SCENE HAS GONE ON - THE SMOKE HAS, HAS NOT CLEARED AT ALL, IT HAS NOT LIGHTENED AT ALL - IT WAS THAT HORRIFIC MOMENT WHEN THE TOWERS COLLAPSED ……(bright flash of light) Brown has clearly been told by his 'controller' to keep talking UNTIL a light flashes. (That's why he says 'HOW LONG THIS SCENE HAS GONE ON .......IT HAS NOT LIGHTENED AT ALL'). He's worried about this. Finally, no doubt on cue, a short flash of light can clearly be seen at 1’ 26’, some seconds after the journalist spoke the above words, this created artificially as a signal that his broadcast from that location can finally be wound up. He quickly disappears from the clip altogether seconds later but keeps talking. Less than an hour later WTC7 collapses in circumstances that have never been explained. WTC 7 was of course a huge building of 47 stories. / Is it mere coincidence that, to date, neither CNN nor the BBC can tell us from WHERE, EXACTLY, AARON BROWN AND JANE STANDLEY WERE ACTUALLY BROADCASTING IN NEW YORK ON 9/11/2001 - MINUTES BEFORE A BUILDING (ITSELF EQUIPPED WITH TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT) COLLAPSED UNDER VERY STRANGE CIRCUMSTANCES ? Until such time as Aaron Brown, Jane Standley and their employers deal with these blatant discrepancies and contradictions there are good grounds for saying nobody is accountable for the corporate media reporting of this great tragedy. The reality is that the silence of huge media corporations on their televised output in New York on 9/11/2001 is a travesty.
