thanks for sharing that story :) nothing is different outside the U.S. :) */Gerard Holmgren <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>/* wrote: I’m not familiar with the Adelaide mob but the Sydney mob are LLL’s controlled by the Socialist workers party. They threatened, abused and ridiculed me for handing out S11 stuff at anti war rallies. Heh ! The funny thing was that, not realizing that I was the same person, they once asked the band to do a benefit concert for them. I agreed – on the condition that they publish a two page feature on Sept 11, written by me in their paper. This put them into an embarrassing spin and they said it was “controversial” and “politically risky”. They kept handballing the decision around the office, everyone saying that the decision was not theirs to make but they “didn’t think” that the editors would go for it. Enjoying the situation, I just said whatever they decided was fine, and that we’d even do the gig anyway – just as long as whoever was in charge gave me a definite yes or no to the article – to my face. They even chickened out from that and I never heard from them again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *From:* Nico Haupt [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] *Sent:* Thursday, 17 November 2005 5:07 AM *To:* Gerard Holmgren; 'Rosalee Grable'; 'Peter Meyer' *Subject:* Re: Rumsfeld in Adelaide ...so what's Mike Khizam's take on 9/11? Is he also a socialist worker gatekeeper? where are the real banners? 1000 people wasting space, time and opportunity. They should arrest them for dumbness and ignorance :) http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,17263199%255E2682,00.html Police threaten to arrest protesters By NIGEL HUNT 16nov05 DEMONSTRATORS were last night reassessing their tactics after being refused permission to hold a demonstration on the steps of Parliament House during U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's Adelaide visit. The No War movement, which is expecting up to 1000 protesters to converge on Adelaide tomorrow, has been advised by the city council that its demonstration will be unlawful.
