As discussed off-list with Thomas, applied the remaining non-RFC patches and bumped the packages with the necessary dependency bumps. For the RFC ones we'll have more time to decide upon the improved cleanup mechanism (should it even go to the config or rather some file in /var) and minus sign in config options.
