Hello,
I use Linux and the Saillard.org pwc latest version as
stated on your site. I use qAstrocam and AstroStack
both for Linux. I found however that my stacked
images were coming out with horizontal and vertical
lines, more pronounced around the inner borders of say

FYI
I used to use my ToUcam with xawtv, but now use
qAstroCam - it has a lot more functionality.

I'd hightly recommend if you are using Xawtv for
astrophoto use with your webcam, that you try
qAstrocam. I used to use Xawtv, but qAstrocam has
more options needed.

Hello,
I am using pwc-10.0.12-rc1 on RHEL WSv4 using SPC900NC
(ToUcam Pro III) and I find that the LED light stays
on all the time. Is the power to this LED light
supplied via function from the PWC driver? Does the
PWC driver supply the ability to shut it off and turn
on the LED? Or is this
please consider adding LED
on/off function to the SPC900NC support?
I would most appreciate if you posted a reply - so far
I heard nothing, which is a little saddening.
Very Sincerely,
Peter B.

As a suggestion for the SPC900NC, not too long ago the
pwc driver would set this webcam typedef to 720, and
this caused some issues. In recent pwc driver
releases (daily snapshots) it has been adjusted to
typedef 740.
This might help to update your driver and double-check

Erik,
You will want to do two things to begin with:
(1) install gcc - preferably using the rpm or depot or
otherwise for your Linux distro.
(2) I see you attempted to install PWC 10.0.11
which is the previous version. 10.0.12 is the newer

Hello Luc,
Are you still maintaining the pwc driver? Will you post anymore snapshots
updated to compile on latest Linux distros ?
Unfortunately the pwc driver that comes with Fedora 14 and 15 broke long
exposure mods (over USB port LED control) through qastrocam and qastrocam-g2
