Hello Jose, You could try the following: 1. Get a fresh Python 2.7 install 2. Install PyTables again 3. And see if you get the same error. It seems like the compiler that was used to build Python and that used to build PyTables might be different. (How are you getting Python?) You

Unfortunately, numpy is actually the smaller of the dependency issues for PyTables on PyPy. PyPy does not support extension modules at all, and the PyPy folks seem unlikely to add it in the near future. The tiny numpy for PyPy is a re-implementation of the numpy API. It would be nice to move to

Hmm Yeah, it sounds like you have system configuration issues. This means that you might want to test your system setup. Maybe installing a clean virtual machine (with a Windows client) and then installing Python PyTables would indicate what is wrong with your current system. 2011/7/26 José
