This is a strange one. I just compiled and installed
4/29 snapshot of qemu (all files in /usr/local).
Before compilation:
$ which sdl-config
/usr/local/bin/sdl-config
$ ./configure
$ make
#make install
$ ldd /usr/local/bin/qemu
libSDL-1.2.so.0 = /usr/local/lib/libSDL-1.2.s0.0
dereference
tsk-{mm,active,mm}-context = 00c3
tsk-{mm, active,mm}-pgd = fc017000

Trying to compile qemu on amd64 based Solaris.
I do not have write permission to /usr/local subtree
./configure --libdir=other-path --prefix=not-ustlocal
is fine
but make always generates binaries that want to find
/usr/local/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0 etc. (checked with ldd).
What is the way out

but invocation of qemu results in error message:

Linux. I have had no success with getiing ether card
emulation to work. What are the attributes of this
device in terms of:
