Here's the steps.

Sorry, wrong chose of words. What I meant, prepare vector layers,
not a result of SQL queries from PostGIS
There is a new plugin - a console, Fast SQL Layer for QGIS.
Have you seen this?

Hi Andreas,
Thanks again for your reply.
The reason why I went with ExtJS, GeoExt and OpenLayers is that there
is a community of governmental organizations around these frameworks in
Switzerland, where I work. This way we can share costs and knowledge.
For sure I will go for ExtJS, GeoExt

Currently, the supported GUI toolkits are wxPython and PyQt. While
both toolkits funtion with Traits, integration with wxPython is

Hi,
Anybody using QGIS 1.7.0.1 Mac OS X 10.6?

I think this bug was not fixed. it was reported before that select
feature is partly working. Now, it is not totally not working.
I don't select any features (0 features(0) on layer Italy. This layer

I don't want to download the Live-OSGEO DVD. It is big.
I think it would good to have these sample
be good to create a couple more examples using that data.
Thanks,

For offline BaseMap - Mapbox MbTiles (SQLite) is already done for Android.
Personally, I'd love to see the menus get cleaned up so that qgis
looks/feels/acts more like a mac application on mac platforms. This is a
problem that arose sometime after 1.4 or 1.5, but it is now becoming more
than a distraction. Multiple, redundant (you like that irony?) menu items,
with it?
Hope we can compile this for QGIS 1.7 Mac OS X.
