How can I get a coordinates of a road vector layer segment in QGIS??

A bit inconvenient:
Vector/Geometry Tools/Extract nodes will create a points layer,
but then you need to run Vector/Geometry Tools/Export/Add Geometry
columns to get the coordinates.
Perhaps there is an alternative one single step way of doing it...

I have experienced consistent issues with the latest OpenLayers plugin with
QGIS 1.7.4. The only way I can get the plugin to work is if I open a new
QGIS project, set my project CRS to Google Mercator (EPSG: 900913) and then
