Dear list members,
I want to do an intersect with two vector layers using the Intersect
function in the Geoprocessing tools but the function it doesn't work,
however when I tried the same function with Sextatnte it works. Why the
intersect from the Vector menu didn't work?

Yes, one of the layers is a Point feature. I am using QGIS 1.8.0 on a Mac.
How can I solve this?

you should build QGIS from master of wait for next version.
Or, you can apply patch [0] manually.
