If you tried writing to the disks, the disk activity light came on, but
nothing was written and smsq/e hung (the original

Occasionally I do snapshots of the SMSQ/E sources. Now guess what's
the oldest
CDROM access was shareware with multidisk over. I expect you need to
register your copy even if it is not still shareware

to register at no charge to get full functionality)
2. Is the CD a PC CD or a QXL.WIN CD?
3. The Qubide has to be a recent version, able to read alien disks.

I did a quick test and found that writing to DD disks is OK until v2.91,
both on QL+SGC (with Mitsubishi ED drive) and on Aurora+SGC (with Sony ED
drive).
With v2.93 the QL is still OK but the Aurora hangs, like all next
