If you weren't located in Scotland, the question would have been:

He he.
Now that the winds have died down here, although the snow isn't deep, the

Anyone (U.K.) not snowbound yet? Or are we all stuck indoors happily using our

Nope, nothing here in Leeds yet. I'm cosy and warm, in my office,
working from home!
Cheers,
Norm.

Been snowing all night here, although the heavy snow only started about
9am - certainly would not risk driving out of the village at the moment
(about 4 inches of snow by the look of it) - still we might get lucky, the
council did come and throw some grit off the back of a lorry one day

Snowing pretty constant here in North Nothumberland but it's lying level
so far. a level fall
has to be a deep one to stop us getting about up here as we're used to
driving on roads
that never see a gritter, snow tyres are a must though.
As long as the wind does not get up we should be OK.
Interesting listening to Jeremy Vine program on radio 2 and the arguments
about
sissy teachers and closed schools and all that (I didn't agree with
most of the
views expressed I hasten to add).
I've worked in a school(none teaching) for the last 11 years or so and
only had 3 to
4 days off
No snow here in Austin, TX yet. Expecting a high of 18C or 19C...

So, we in the UK are all at home in snow chat-mode! (Our fellow
Scandinavians will laugh, I know.)
I was 19 miles from home last evening on my push bike when the snow started
(West Cheshire). And then it went dark! I had all the 'gear' and I likes a
challenge!
Some denial of service
Not snowbound here. Don't you know that snow is something you drive to?
(Mostly Tahoe)
We've had over night lows just around freezing and it was all over the
news. It's fairly rare when San Francisco gets that cold.
The last time we had any accumulation of snow in the area was 1976.
