I will expect to receive it before the end of the year, OK ;-)

Today, I received the long awaited USB Diskdrive. Works good, unfortunately,
it takes a second ore two until it reacts after each command. A few disks
seem to be damaged (not with all files) but I hope the best. SPK built files
(just tried QL.Gardener) seem not to run under the QPCdemo (but ran unter
ST!).

Will look after all sources. But transfer of all QL files from my ST are
more important. I try to do my best.

Cheers...Ralf R.

Often a damaged file on a USB drive is because the drive was removed
before the file was completely copied to it. Or the system was
powered off.

Some drives have a flashing LED to indicate when it is being written
to. I use this feature to verify that it is safe to remove the USB
drive.

Hi Norman,

I have never left seriously ;-)) Always read the News. And as QPC2 is now
such a great enhancemant, time for one of [\inside on] those rich germans
(;-))) [\inside off] to do it again. I still have to wait for a USB
Diskdrive (nope on my DELL) to transfer files from my STQL. It wasn't
switched on for years. I hope, the files are still on the 60MB Rodime.
Haven't done a WINback from all directories 8-(.

I don't have the address myself, but I understand that if you do a Google
search of, say, Phil Borman dentist you will get his details straight
away. Not sure it it contains an email address.
Very good suggestion:
phil AT borman DOT org DOT uk

I don't know why I am bothering to disguise it as www.nhs.uk doesn't!

Ron Dunnett pops up further down!
