Should there be a surge in demand for Tandata stacks, I have one available
for pp. Been sitting on a shelf for years because I can't bring myself to
junk it!!

The QPTR examples (? by Tony Tebby) that were distributed with C68 had a
function menu_button that just unset a main window definition and placed a
suitably named button in the frame. Waking was just the reverse. The QPAC2
code was not used.

What about using QPAC2? E.g.
exep 'Files';'\d win1_top_'
then F3 and Tree followed by All (F5) and delete ?

I am sorry if this is a time waster (I was off line for some
days courtesy BT) but DID you get hold of a configurable TKII
and a TrumpCard?

I thoroughly enjoyed myself today at the Hove meeting My thanks
to Roy Wood and his bevy of caterers Like others there, I
drooled over the Q60 on demo - got to load my latest prog in it
for a trial - and can't wait to take delivery and have a serious
play

Thanks for the reply. I accept what you say about Sbasic - I
only looked at it after C68 played up. However, I do think that
the behaviour in SMSQ is counterintuitive - |atan(1,0)| should
really be PI/2.
I will pursue the C68 problem

I know this may seem obscure but try working with angles with a
defective atan(2) function!

a copy by my side to keep me on
the straight and narrow of good programming. I reckon it to be a
seriously good book - thanks Tim.
Funny thing is that it was around back in the 1970-80s just when
I was writing Fortran and PL/I. Would have done me and others a
lot of good then.

there some articles/notes/refs. to PCL in Quanta
sometime? Anyone recall them?
Christopher Cave
defined the file and fixed the heading of 0x4AFC ?
Is this not a case for a definitive write up in mags and/or on
web sites? Or is there an article hidden away in back issues?

Would someone please point me in the direction of documentation
on PIC files?
Christopher Cave

It would be pretty bad news if no-one felt they had anything new
to say on these issues.

I got your notification on ql-users but not directly. You may care to add
me to the mailing list if I'm not thereon.
Thanks

Only for petrol it is - according to my wife.

/funs recognised by EXTRAS in job 0 so it must
be the SBasic daughter jobs not seeing them. Grateful for help - I'm quite
prepared to buy the latest version but not if QLIB externals and SMSQ/E
never ever work!

PRINT 'done'
160 END FOR i
To get round this in a piece of code I'm currently engaged on, I have had
to test for i=n when the exception arises and use EXIT i when on the final
loop. Comments anyone?
Christopher Cave
the loop test) is
rather easier then a pairing such as:
IF condn. THEN GOTO label

label : END FOR i
Still don't like it tho.

Thanks to Marcel, I had a proper look and think about what I was doing.
The moral is not to transfer SBASIC program as _sav files but as text
files. Silly me!

I found this message posted on CIX - self-explanatory I
hope. The email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Yes but, as your message implied, it was just the SBASIC job that crashed.
The rest of the system appeared to carry on O.K.

I got crashes on:
QXL both SMSQv2.76 and SMSQEv2.98
QPC2 with SMSQEv2.98
Christopher Cave
QXL has 8MB on board, the host is a 400Celeron with a Matrox Millenium
G200 - 8MB. I can sit and watch the screen being redrawn should I have
nothing better to do.
Still, QXL doesn't make the fuss over floppies that W98/QPC2 does!

Not as far as I know but then I just took Win98 out of the box and
installed it. How does one find out what processes are running?

Thanks Norman for the reply. But you don't say what software you were
using. My problems only started with SMSQ/E. No mucking about with
PAR_BUFF under plain vanilla SMSQ and the printing's fine!
