Autorun CDs on a PC are possible.
When a CD is inserted into the CD drive when windows is running
Windows looks for a file on the CD called Autorun.inf
This is a text file. Info about this can be found on the web.
Basically all that the file needs to contain is the statement :
Hi,
Dont know about UINT
but DWORD and LONG are the same 4bytes, longword but DWORD is usually used
by PC programmers so the bytes are in the reverse order from the
QL/QDOS/Motorolla long word.

For your information Wolfgang I do.
I have written a screen mode/size button frame button that changes the
screen size/mode on the Q40,Q60,Aurora and stores the current size in a
public history device. This enables my screen saver program Nightfall to
know the correct screen size/mode to return
DISP_COLOUR 0,512,256 works changes to mode 4 old syle QL sceen for older
software
and
DISP_COLOUR 3,512,256 changes back to 16bit colour.

Is there different versions of the decompression programs or some

Hi,
To
start with the hardware:
have you configured jumpers on the CDRom drive to be the slave
drivewiththe hard disk configured as the master
then
onto the software:
have LRESPRedboth the ATAPIqub_bin the CDROM_bin in
that order, both are needed.
CDR_DRIVE 1,1,1 is correct for the setup
Have a look at QCDEZE 1.06, the other software with it includes a program
that displays old QL mode 4 8 plus BMP, PCX and IFF files as mode 33
images and if it is supplied with a buffer large enough for the converted
file it leaves a mode 33 pic image in the buffer that can be saved out to a
will help me fix it.
I have it running on my Q60 OK but I may not have envisaged exactly how you
need to use it or my system set up for QLiberated programs might be slightly
different.
