I've just noticed, but isn't 'breathed out' air still high in oxygen and only about 4% CO2 ? As in my old BSAC diving exam questions : Going in Nitrogen 79% ish Oxygen 20% ish Rare Gasses 1% ish Coming out ... Nitrogen 79% ish Oxygen 16% ish Rare Gasses 4% ish Cheers, Norman.
