Just a thought
There is a pallet of 28 Epson 850 printers on ebay - located in the
Portsmouth area. Trouble is auction ends in a few minutes - m,ight do a
deal off ebay.
It might be an idea to buy these and test them for resale to those who are
stuck with the original QL etc - the 850
This MIGHT be a duplicate, the original doesn't seem to have got through to the
list.
Am having problems with CTRL ALT left and right kepresses not registering in
QPC2 3.30 on this Windoze XP machine here at work, but it works fine on the
same one at home.

Yes, I was referring tot he real ALT key.. On British keyboards at
least CTRL and ALT are both on the left of the space bar. The one on
the right of the space bar is ALT GR which can be configured in QPC2
to work like either CTRL or ALT.
It's rather strange because both PCs have the same QPC2

The upgrade situation is not easy.

Just a couple of thoughts:-
Both keyboards set to same nationality ?
Try swapping keyboards.
Extract settings from both machines and compare.
Transfer settings wizard via floppy.
One of the few QL programs that was written in the US and sold in the UK
is Concept 3D, a 3D wire frame graphics program, written by Robert
Fingerlee. I don't know who sold it, but like other dealers, the rights
to the original program might not be back in the hands of the Author.
