I can't picture him, although the name rings a bell. Did he attend shows
regularly, or even infrequently? What did he look like? I think an obituary,
with possibly a photo, if possible, is a good idea.
Its always sad to hear when a QLer has left us, even sadde
have them before xmas...

OSX is the Macintosh Operating System - I have it installed on a
Powerbook (laptop) and a Mac G5 here.
I'm running 10.4.11 on the Powerbook and the G5 - this is known as
Tiger (the last update to that version). The 10.5 version is called
Leopard and the very latest, 10.6, is called Snow
Good point Dil, never used this one myself.
Plus, for Mac users with a bang up to date Mac (ie. not me!) if you
have a Intel chip Mac, as opposed to a power PC based system, you can
just use Bootcamp or Parallels, Vrtual PC or similar, and run Windows
XP/Vista/7 on the Mac - and I would think QPC
I've seen this already using StumbleUpon.
I think they (Micro$oft) set up a stand directly opposite a Linux Show
Linus was attending.
So he gave them their moneys worth :-)

Yup.. as Marcel says. Try looking under Windows error reporting too if you
run an msinfo to file.
I would check how much free space you have on your hard drive too, but I'm
in agreement with Marcel. Either the RAM has got damaged, or the Windows
swap file or HDD is to blame.

The ports are for the QL network as Graeme said... to connect to other QXLs

You likely got confused with the Q40 and Q60. You definitely have a QXL.
