Hi,
imho i think this is a good idea, to have one central news
side. But I'm too new in the QL scene to provide something usefull
at the moment. I'm still working on some smaller programs
(a small game, a few tools ..), but in the near future I will start
with some serious game development and after this i will sort out
which project I start next.
The domain should be an problem, you can count on me @donation

Hi, and happy New Year
I am working in the second version of my Spanish Sinclair QL site. For
this new web I have used a CMS (content management system), it's not
visible completely yet.
When I activate my new web, I will use a new domain name for it. Then
the sinclairql.info domain will be free for use, and it is paid until
December 3 of 2006.
I am looking for some interested in participating in a new Web of QL
news for the international QL community, in English, of course, that
compiled all news on QL.
This Web it would be managed with WordPress (http://wordpress.org/).
WordPress is a news publication system Blog type. Its use is extremely
simple and allows the registered users to publish news, reason why
anyone could participate contributing the news or leaving commentaries.
The use of WordPress requires MySQL and PHP, but this is not a problem,
because we can count on space Web in www.speccy.org with both.
Summarizing. We have space, Web and domain, and I would take care to
install WordPress and to update it when it is necessary, but I am not
very in contact with the international QL community and my language
(spanish) is a problem too.
Obvious, this Web is for all the QL users, and only for the news and new
features, reason why this web does not make competition to others, but
that it will serve to unify all important QL news in a single Web.
The control of the domain and the site would be in the hands of the
administrator of contents, or those people who the community chooses.
The only disadvantage will be the following payment of the renovation of
the sinclairql.info domain in 2007 and following years. At the moment
the domain costs 15 Euro per year. This price, I think, can be obtained
with exclusive QL publicity or QL community donations.
I believe that a site of the news centralized will help to people like I
that we are just a short time in contact with the community, but which
we want to know what happens in the QL scene.
Tell me your opinion, and if you are interested.
If you are interested, we can test all necessary in few days.
