When this list first started, someone made the
suggestion to build a library of games for study, a
feature which I'd find very useful. But I wonder if
there exists yet an interchange format for storing
Scrabble games which includes the rack, the move, and
any comments by the player. There does for
Thanks again to the Quackle developers for this
excellent tool.
I was interested in getting a better idea of just how
badly I was doing in my games on the ISC, more so than
the Examiner can show i.e. Examiner shows me the
better moves but Quackle can tell me just how many
points I cost myself
Quackle users,
Several people had mentioned wanting a rack display
that was more like the one used in ISC's WordBiz
program.
With Mike Thelen's permission, I extracted the code
from Zyzzyva that offers a drag/drop rack with tile
images and inserted it into Quackle 0.93. (Mike,

I'm guessing this is an artifact of using qt 4.2 instead of 4.1
I have confirmed that this is a problem new to 4.2.1.
This minimal fix appears to make the display OK, although it shouldn't be
necessary:
diff -c -r1.1 rackdisplay.cpp

This reminds me of another modification that I would find useful. Sometimes,

Super-useful tool; thx again.
It appears that the Reports feature doesn't check whether words played are
actually valid.
I had an existing game in GCG format which I Opened with Quackle. I ran a
report with Championship Player. It confirmed my openent's opening play as the
best.

If I read this properly, it goes a long way to getting Zyzzyva and Quackle onto
lots of smart phones.

Wouldn't such an app, if added to Quackle, cause the user to run
afoul
Don't see why. He's not suggesting that you are using Quackle during the game
to figure out the best move -- which you could do anyway without any
intermediate program.
I regularly do this using the ISC log file, but with
