Dear List members,
I am trying to map the habitat suitability of Nephrops and one of my predictor
is a categorical variable.
However when I utilised the command as.factor (before to create my rasters
stack) I get the error message Error in 1:ncol(r) : argument of length 0.
Could anyone help

Dear list,
I am using the hurdle model for modelling the habitat of rare fish species.
However I do get an error message when I try to model my data:
test_new1-hurdle(GALUMEL~ depth + sal + slope + vrm + lat:long +
offset(log(haul_numb)), dist = negbin, data = datafit_elasmo)

Dear All,
I am trying to model the habitat mapping of 4 sharks species and my data are
zero inflated and positively skewed. The zero percentages in my data vary
between 56-77%. I did some tests fitting GAMs with negative binomial family
(with theta between 1-10). Is this the best way to go?
Dear All I am having problems to install the package COZIGAM.
Despite I have the update version of R (3.0.2) when I try to load the package I
cannot find it in the list of available packages.
If I try to install it from a local zip file I do get this error message:

Dear All,
I am running a negative binomial model in R using the package pscl in oder to
estimate bed sediment movements versus river discharge. Currently we have
deployed 4 different plates to test if a combination of more than one plate
would better describe the sediment movements when the
Hi,
I am trying to predict the habitat suitability of lobster with GAMs. I need to
produce a map in ArcGis of the predicted densities. I did some search and the
function predict.gam seems to do the job.
Is this the right way to do it? when you apply the function you get the
predicted values
