I mostly use R under Linux and Xemacs with the truly wonderful ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics). It has numerous features, one of which is a pretty comprehensive auto-completion facility. The few times I have used R under Windows, any auto-completion feature that may be there did not fall readily
