We are happy to announce that the course “Introduction to R for biologists and
other students of the natural sciences” will be given again this year in late
April and May, funded by the graduate programme Physical Sciences at the
University of Gothenburg. The course (3 hp) is an introduction to programming
and doing statistical analysis with the R programming language. It focuses on
using R for data handling, general statistical modeling, and data
visualization. The course is open to students from any university and is
primarily aimed towards PhD students within the natural sciences who wish to
learn how to perform their own statistical analyses using R.

It consists of two parts: an introductory day on the 23rd of April followed by
a few weeks of self-study work and finally a full time intensive course week
between the 27th and the 31th of May.
