The HZ tools are functional and really minimal/austere/basic while being
well-made and well-priced. I work for the company (Merry Sales) that sells
whatever RBW doesn’t.

Matthias, Water is definitely a concern as you move through that wonderful
landscape. For the first couple of days we were near parks and human
dwellings so we could fill up pretty regularly. My modus operendi is
usually to drink a bottle of water whenever I find a place to refill. We

Nice Roadini, lovely build, and I'm glad it has turned out so well for you.
The Roadini certainly gets high praise from high-mileage riders.

with fat, low pressure tires the frame and fork won't materially affect

Roadeo has a new home. Thanks for the interest folks.

I've got the chain quicklink pliers and the Cable Cutters and both are
great.
Would buy again if I needed to, and will likely replace more stuff with
their tools as needed.

Not at all fixated on the branding, just looking for tools in general. I
like when there is limited choice and the shop sells only what they trust
(analog, riv..) so I wanted to get some feedback on the tools.

I bought the MP pump. I like it, but it’s not a clear winner:
+ great for quickly filling up high volume/ low pressure tires
- difficult to get above 45 psi or so
- the base is too small and makes it feel unstable.
Because of the high pressure limitations, I ended up keeping my old floor
pump
I love a bargain

Most people consider the Mike Plumpatire floor pump to be a part of the
Hobson Zingo program. If you require explicit HZ branding on each item,
the MP pump doesn't qualify.

Thanks for the photos and report John! I have some friends that moved to
Tucson in 2020 and have been lucky enough to get down to visit them each
year since. The riding in the Sonora is wonderful! We sliced off a portion
of the Gila River Ramble a few years ago but bailed early as we had some

How about an informal meet at the Riv booth right after the show opens?
I'll be sporting a black Green Guru backpack (made with inner tubes) with a
Riv triangle. I have white hair.
I hope to see old friends and meet new ones!

John, excellent! Nice photos too. Thanks for sharing your experience with
us. As a South-easterner (North Carolina) I find the Southwest exotically
beautiful - and in particular, the Sonoran desert.

@John,
Thank-you so much for sharing your ride report in the Sonora Desert. Very
beautiful indeed. Your words of description are wonderfully written through
your writer's voice and very much appreciated.

Great ride report, thanks!
Can you please expound a bit on what you did for water?
That cannot have been trivial, looking at those pictures.
