Lovely.
May I suggest a tweak? Shorten the kickstand (a simple hacksaw will
do). But don't cut it too short. If you want to run wider tires at
some point, leave it long enough so it will work with the widest tires
that fit. Another way to shorten the kickstand for your medium tires
if you don't
Hi!
Yes, I've already chopped over 40mm off. It could probably stand to be another
10-15mm shorter. But I want to have some margin for uneven surfaces. I don't
know; I'm going to be chopping the rear rack stays while I still have a
friend's dremel-ish rotary tool (fun and scary to use).
All over but the shouting. Now the only things left to do are to cut
the rear rack stays and to put on the reel lights. Oh, and mount a new
rear brake. Then ...let the tweaking begin!

that frame is clean... on my taiwanese frame the ss cluster is
definitely sloppy in comparison to yours. the paints a little sloppy
too. i'm a little jealous, although that is a detail i doubt many
would notice. i'm sure structurally it they are both equally sound.
thanks for the pics, and watch

Very nice bike. And very nice build. My LBS just got in a couple of
Hillbornes, including a 60. That one is just a single. Lucky for me,
would hate to be tempted to get rid of my 56 for a doubled 60.

See many non-parallel double top tubes Out In The World?

I saw many weirdly shaped aluminum bikes but the few steel non-
parallel bikes I saw were the rickshaw variety. I was interesting
being countries where bicycle racks overflow with bicycles. All the
bikes had a well used look,
It's the rear brake cable guide that will divide us! :)
I saw quite a few double top tubes in Asia (Flying Pigeon, Raleigh),
they don't see that unusual anymore. I bet you have a lot of fun with
that one. Wonder how I can swing a new Hillborne? (but, but, but,

Could you snap a couple of shots of the seat stay cluster? I'm just a
little curious to see the difference in brazing between mine and
yours. Thanks.

My Taiwan Sam has the brake bridge fender boss, and I do use it with
my Berthoud/SKS fenders:

Okay, it's a contest. There's no prize for being first, no shame in
never finishing. A no drop contest, if you will.
Does anyone notice what's missing from the frameset?
(The missing thing would be probably be obvious if I were a better
photographer and had produced fewer pictures to look
)

Looks like it is missing down tube shifter mounts. For me, it might
be a big deal as I really like the simplicity of down tube shifters.
I do run bar end shifters on my Atlantis, but both custom Rivendells
are down tube shifters.

Well... I said missing because I've seen this thing on one other

missing or merely absent.
It's the brake bridge fender boss.
