Hmmm... the Aug28 SampleOne may or may not have the dropout, from my reading of the text in the PDF. He was reviewing SimpleOnes generally, not describing the one in the brochure per se. But in any case, I'm not *sure* what the dropout is like on the 56 that's been for sale for a while. I just

I'm with you on most of that.I'd love a Simple One if the tubing were thick enough (similar to the Hillborne) I have all the parts for one except for the wheels. While not a fan of cantilever brakes they would suffice. I also wouldn't mind something like a Hilsen design, which if you ask

I picked up the 58 this morning and they have the Quickbeam dropouts. Now I have to decide which components to use for the build. On Sep 25, 10:57 am, cm chrispmur...@hotmail.com wrote: Anyone out there buy one of the Simples? They seem to be selling-- only the 62 left! I hope this means

I don't know if it's wrong or not... But IIRC and if I understand the picture, it does not have the magic slanted rear dropout that would enable truly simple rear gear changes (i.e. you would not need to realign the rear brake after a change in tooth count). Does anyone else remember it that way?

Not sure if the one on the site has the magic dropouts, but the complete sample that came in a few weeks ago did. Same neat-unique Quickbeam dropout that allows that. http://www.rivbike.com/assets/payloads/352/original_aug28knothole.pdf Cheers! cm -- You received this message because you are

I'm highly debating it, personally. I'd love to have a Fixie Fop Chariot to go with my Bleriot. I'm not sure if it's too small or not. And if I'd get slaughtered by bringing a new bike home. On Sep 23, 12:23 am, CycloFiend cyclofi...@earthlink.net wrote: on 9/22/10 7:23 PM, jandrews_nyc at

The weekend bag was also packed with two Rapha shirts and touring shorts and we spent a night at the new Westin in Napa. Where our friends joined us for a night out at Morimoto's. So I didn't make out too bad. Spotted a couple of Atlantis' at the Oxbow farmers market too! I still have the go

I've seen it up close and nothing's wrong with it. It's a real beaut', and much better looking live than in that photo. I think they haven't pushed it much so maybe not enough people are aware of it. Or maybe there just aren't any single speeders looking for a 56cm frame right now. If you're
