Hominy Beef Bake

1 pound ground beef (I used 80% - the cheap stuff)
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15.5 oz) can hominy, drained and rinsed (I used Bush's)
1 (15 oz) can chili with beans (I used Giant's store brand)
1 (8 oz) tomato sauce (I used Giant's store brand)
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup crushed corn chips or potato chips (measure after crushing)

1. In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until
meat is no longer pink. Drain and return to skillet. Stir in all remaining

ingredients except crushed chips.
2. Transfer to a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Sprinkle with chips.
3. Bake, uncovered in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until
heated through.
