Here here!  When our delegation asked our local Labor candidate, now MP, at
the last election whether the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs in a Labor
government would be a senior member of cabinet, he basically avoided the
question.  His answer was that,

No-one wants to be minister.  It is interesting to see what has happened to
former ministers for Aboriginal Affairs.  Their futures have suffered for
holding the position.

This knowledge makes Daryl Melham's position on Aboriginal Affairs, at the
fore-front of his party and often at odds, even more courageous, and perhaps
he is worthy of our support, even if his party is not.
