Ferguson told MUTV: It was an absolutely fantastic position to be in after
the first half, and we should have gone on to win it. But when you gamble
you leave the gate open. These performances don't happen a lot, and we're
very seldom as bad as that.
The only gamble was putting out a substandard
Perhaps not just to rest players but also to give the others more playing
time and experience. Investment in the future and all that. But agree with
everyone that it was painful to watch (even with a few pints of courage at
the Plough)...
