* Implement these changes in master
* leave 4.10.0 alone.
* Implement these changes in KDE/4.10 in time for 4.10.1
By changes, I mean removing the automatic updates AND adding the new API.

Need someone to check when installing into /usr.
I've tested the python patch on kde 4.9.98 and installed it into /usr/lib64/
and haven't had anything go wrong... yet ;)
