I think that most of the discussion here is based off of a
miscommunication caused by the title of this thread.
Since we don't have a soprano release we can depend off I'm officially
cancelling the tarballs of Beta1 since it makes no sense to release something
that can't be compiled.
If the soprano people make a release I'll re-create the packages and we'll
speak for dates for a new release.

For those distro's that already uploaded packages to their repo's, I suggest
that you add a patch that removes the 'beta 1' designation and just continue to
upload it as a trunk snapshot if you can not stop it anymore. I assume you have
only uploaded it to an unstable part of the repo.
