Hi all - I'm looking for specs and tuning information on a Wacom
WP-698
duplexer. It's a 4 can unit, 2 for Tx, 2 for Rx. Single screw for
tuning. What sets the spacing for Pass Reject. 20 or 12 MHz
spacing?
Tried the usual searches but don't find any specifics for this model.
Anyone out
Excellently written Kevin. I really enjoy your writings. I think that
you should
have been an author if the radio tech didn't work out. I value your
opinion.
Very well put..

The issue I have with Echostation is getting it to generate stable
tones. Courtesy tones, CWID, etc are VERY jerky, CW is totally unusable,
on any computer I've tried it on, from a P200 to an Athlon
XP1700...there's something very seriously wrong with the coding in that
program.

Howdy all
I finally have gotten around to setting up my TKR-850 UHF repeater.
A few questions.
I know that power is set up in software, however, I can't get but
about 27 watts max out with the software set at max even on the test
channels using LDF1 hardline, bird meter, and dummy load.

I am trying to configure an ACC96/VHF GE MASTR II to encode on COS.
The 96/repeater presently decodes 114.8 PL and the 96 also controls
a UHF link radio.
Any hints from those go before me? Pin outs? Thanks de David

high power.
Have you gone thru the softpot tuning in the software under the tabs
programming and then test mode. These are normaly 3 point adjustments so
you will have low med and hi freq adjustment plus a test tab. I would
not turn the repeater down to 5 watts there were problems with the x50

There is a reported vco (out of band) stab/lock
problem some 850 repeaters. Kenwood just told
me because the problem is hit and miss for out
of band (amateur) operation, they don't support
operation out of the normal 450 to 480 range.
I'm under the impression the vco stab problem

Hi Curt,
Yes, you were right, it does go in the extreme left slot. The board instructions indicate this. The backplane shows no indication where it should go. This must be a rare option.

Yeah may help the audio especially when you get some person who tends to
talk like he's has to scream which I know happens on one repeater I know
surprised the repeater does not clip his audio or something.

Nope, those require that you are right up to them. It's a moot point anyway.
This was years ago and the guy moved away and then let his ham license

Hello,
I was going to answer this post later but better do it now. I just upgraded
5 TKR-850's to the New Improved PA deck, I was using one on my 442.15
repeater when it blew (fried charcoal) the driver Q-4. Only one problem,
they don't like to work as good as the old PA below 450 MHz. These
George,
My WACOM catalog lists the WP-698 as a BpBr duplexer for the 1.270-1.295
GHz band., with a 12 MHz minimum spacing. There is no further info.
Since it is a BpBr device, I should think that the main tuning rod sets
the pass, while the trimmer sets the notch.

since i didn't get the cook tower co. info in time, just FYI - tessco had
in stock the ham cut (138-150) db224 antenna. ships to me tomorrow via
