There may be a receive indicator LED, I bought the pair of them used some
time ago mainly because the price was so low I could not pass them up, I'll
have fire one up and have a look. I saw a write up many moons ago someone
did describing picking the signal up from a point on one of the circuit
As someone else suggested, you can probably pick a signal off the BUSY
LED. I had a couple of these years ago and I remember that the transmit
audio was kind of crappy. tinny sounding. I did a mod to help the mike
audio, but it never sounded really good. This may be a drawback in
using it
Poly phase makes a unit that clamps on the leg of a tower and works very well.

Hey
I duplexed a 75 W UHF Mitrek (not Mitrex...) nearly 15 years ago now.
It's still running fine, no in-cabinet desense. I have it running at abt
40-45W out with a fan on it (same fan for all that time too, btw).
Only issue is the power control pots seem a little flaky sometimes and
don't allow
Hello,
I am the builder and keeper of a two metre repeater GB3VT here in the UK and
the repeater has now been operational for the past 30 years.
In 1994 it was necessary to vacate the original site, but a few months later we
located a new site and in 1995 the repeater was again operational.
Try this
Force the repeater transmitter on.
Walk around with a hand held that has a CW mode, such as a TH-F6A tuned to
the repeaters input frequency and get a detailed map of the area and note
the S meter readings.

One could buy one from Polyphaser  Its a small box with counter that is
triggered by a strike. I have one here on my tower at home. A friend from work,
worked for PolyPhaser.
I bought a box of stuff from him and it had it new in the box.

Another old trick was to wire a flash bulb in shunt with about 20 feet of
tower.

I received a CD in the mail from Eric WB6FLY with 35 PDF files on it.
All will be uploaded to repeater builder over the next several days.
At the moment it takes hand editing the web pages to add new content.
I've also been promised a DVD with a complete 1st-to-last issue
of 73 magazine, and
