The TFE-6030 was used in the Motorola Mark 12 mobiles. I have the service
manual and tuning instructions here somewhere but it will take a while to
dig it out.

Trouble is I live in a flat area and the only hill at 600 feet, they want
$4500 per year, it used to be $100 !
We have a friendly taxi firm with a 60 foot tower and we might be able to

As far as the RH256 radios with enough modification they can be set up to
work as simplex link radios for Echolink or IRLP.
Both radios will encode and decode CTCSS tones.
The RH256 will require some component changes and a complete retuning /
alignment.
The RH256NB model may be able

Hi Russ
Not running a duplexer, circulator feeds into seperate rx/tx cavities, this
arrangement has been used on several UK repeaters, the circulator is a 3
port ferrite unit.

I would be interested in the specific FCC Regs that prohibit a mobile (or
base station) to be used as a repeater.
I have seen many commercial repeaters made from two mobiles.
